Kim Sammartano is from Chicago, IL. Her background is in Art & Music, and worked as a magazine Art Director for years before leaving the corporate world to pursue her dreams here in the Caribbean. She has been enjoying the waters around St. John for the past 13 years. She has extensive kayak guiding experience, including extended overnight trips on remote shores throughout the US and British Virgin Islands. Kim was a former Maho Bay Campground employee, working there as a cook & beach cafe attendant. She is also an accomplished potter, and sells her artwork in local galleries. And, she's also a pretty darn good flute player! You might catch her out playing with musicians at some of the island's open mic music nights! Her love and knowledge of the island make her a wonderful guide. Her favorite part about being a guide is meeting people from all over the world, and sharing with them what makes St. John so unique!
